No DLS Referendum and No Trial
News just in that in spite of the 51% support of Daylight Saving adoption across the state of Queensland, and 63% support in the SEQ corner, that there will be no referendum and no trial for DLS.
So much for democracy.

You need to lobby smarter... to change opinions and break the apathy, and accept that some walls are made of block heads.. the erosion tactic also works, it just takes longer.
Ie Dont lose hope over one statement...

Well said Wilecoyote. I am very proud my daughter is prepared to stand up for issues she believes to be worthwhile. I hope others will follow her lead. There must be many people highly inconvenienced due to Brisbane not falling in line with the rest of the eastern seaboard.
Re Bob Katter's remark that daylight saving will be a cause of more skin cancer in Queensland - perhaps the medical fraternity could be requested to comment on his argument.

One of the things I get about "JJ" is that shes like this really really smart chick. (I mean that in the nicest possible way... and if you are offended by it.. tough)
Being smart... you propably dont deliberately start an avalanche... nah what you need to start an avalanche is someone whos really dumb...
Perhaps Bob Katter? Granted finding his mind to change it is a challenge, but then smart people are not put out by a challenge.
