Article +

For those that may be interested, an article of mine was published among today's offerings at On Line Opinion.

Right now I'm reviewing materials on Packet Level Authentication and considering how I might contribute to the research. This is interesting research because it brings a much more robust level of security to data exchanges - probably crucial in the next few years.

And finally, I soon may well be signing myself up on a single contract for a few months looking at e-business strategy development. I'm up and ready for that sort of challenge.

Good article. I dont agree with all of it though. The internet and software have reduced the cost of construction and distribution for digital content.

Nanotechnology and "universal replicators" offer the potential to do that in the physical realm as well.

We are moving from a scarcity era, to an abundance era. The industrial structures of the industrial era are creaking and breaking; education, health and representative democracy.

Cost blow outs being the first leaks. All those were designed for the industrial era. Faced with the rapid change and pace of the abundance era, they cannot keep up.

Education takes three years to spit out a specialist. In that time an investment cycle has come and gone.

I think this is just the tip of the iceberg. If the mass media remains the largest contributor of primary source material at the moment, that is because we are in a transitory phase.
