Not so bizzare in Melbourne - very common. It is discussed widely on talk-back radio - computer calls programmed to disconnect if answered by a person and occasionally the poor old computer generated call gets really muddled. This is the new marketing rage I understand. We do live in this wonderful electronic age.

I think it sounds bloody marvellous. Where can I get one?

I got one of those last week, as well, and I thought it was an utterly charming development. No, really.
Insert pithy observation about the state of modern communications here.
